Unveiling DISTANT: The Journey Begins

Last week we released our trailer for DISTANT in an exclusive interview with Kill Screen. Since the moment that article launched the response has been absolutely amazing.

It is a small snippet, just a glimpse into the world of DISTANT and the experience we are creating. The last week has been so surreal and full of joy; all the tweets, emails, DM’s and articles have made us feel so welcome and incredibly excited for the future.
We are happy to say that DISTANT is coming to Mac, PC, console, and Apple TV. We don’t have any more info about release dates or pricing at this time, but we promise we are working hard. If you want to keep up to date on anything DISTANT related sign up to our mailing list!
We also wanted to say a huge thank you to the entire Snowman team for being so amazingly supportive; we are truly humbled to be working with such skilled and enthusiastic people. Snowman wrote an awesome post from the night of the reveal that you should definitely read if you haven’t already.
Thank you again everyone for all of your kind words. You can follow DISTANT on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram for all the latest.

Adventure Awaits: Our Partnership With Snowman

Slingshot & Satchel is a studio born out of a love for adventuring, and a belief that games are most enjoyable when played together. It’s safe to say that our first year together has been a testament to both of these ideas.

Foremost, this process has been an adventure in the truest sense of the word: an exciting journey filled with triumphs and tribulations. It’s that second belief, though – in the value of togetherness – which is at the heart of our next step as a team.

Several months ago, we were approached by the amazing crew at Snowman, creators of Alto’s Adventure. They had seen a glimpse of our debut title, and sent us an email offering insight and assistance. In talking with them further, we found something particularly rare – a shared love of games as more than fleeting distractions, but rather as meaningful moments of play.

So today, we’re excited to announce that we’ve officially partnered with Snowman to bring our first game to life. What’s it called? What’s it about? That’s our little secret for the time being. Forgive us for staying tight-lipped for now, but rest assured: while we don’t have more to share at the moment, we can’t wait to take you on an adventure of your own.

When you get a moment, do take a look at Snowman’s own announcement, and if you haven’t already, give them a follow on Facebook and Twitter. We’ll also be sharing first looks and updates via email newsletter, so be sure to subscribe.
